The Cosmetology Program
OUR PROGRAM LEVELS
PHASE 1: CORE
This foundational course focuses on the fundamentals of hair cutting, color, texture, styling, skin care, and nails. Students first learn the theory behind each technique and then apply their knowledge through hands-on practice in a supportive classroom environment. Training includes working on mannequin heads while receiving personalized guidance from an instructor every step of the way.
PHASE 2: DYNAMIC
Education continues in the classroom and on the clinic floor, where students build and refine the core skills they’ve learned. In the Dynamic phase, students work with live models in a salon-like environment under the guidance of instructors, using professional products while mastering consultations and creating outstanding guest experiences.
PHASE 3: INNOVATIVE
In the Innovative phase, students grow their skill set by learning advanced and creative techniques. This level focuses on preparing students for the salon environment, with more independent work and a pace similar to that of a professional salon. You will refine your speed while building a résumé and developing a strong portfolio
PHASE 4: FINAL
The final phase students prepare for state board licensing through intensive, high-volume, hands-on salon simulations. Students also practice in comprehensive theory reviews and mock practical exams while refining sanitation practices, precision techniques, and speed. This phase concludes with preparation for both the written and practical state board exams.
STUDENT KIT
To help you succeed, every student receives a professional Pivot Point and Sam Villa kit with all the essential tools, including mannequin heads, shears, clippers and trimmers, combs, clips, and more—giving you everything you need to train with confidence and launch your career.
COSMETOLOGY LICENSE
To become a licensed cosmetologist, you must pass the cosmetology state board examinations which consist of theory and practical exams. At La Dolce Vita we will be taking every step towards helping you prepare to achieve obtaining this license.
FUNDING YOUR EDUCATION
At this time La Dolce Vita Cosmetology Institute does not offer financial aid at this time. We look forward to offering it in the future.
